MenuSnap Terms & Conditions

Review the MenuSnap Terms of Service for our menu translation application.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MenuSnap (the "Service"), provided by the MenuSnap team ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Description of Service

MenuSnap lets you capture or import menu photos, recognize the text, translate it into your preferred language, and organize dish selections before you place an order.

Ownership

You remain in control of the menus and related content you submit. We process your materials solely to provide the Service and do not claim ownership over them.

User Data

MenuSnap operates without requiring an account. We do not collect, store, or process personally identifiable information. Menu data, translation history, and preferences remain on your device.

Data Storage and Security

  • Menu images, translations, lists, and preferences stay on your device, except when securely transmitted to MenuSnap-operated servers to perform menu recognition.
  • We do not send your content to third-party servers that are not controlled by the MenuSnap team.
  • Image recognition is handled by our own backend APIs and the processed results are returned to your device; currency conversion and list management continue in-app.
  • You may delete local data at any time by uninstalling the application, and we automatically purge uploaded menu images from our processing servers after recognition is complete.

Content Responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring that menus and materials processed through the Service do not infringe third-party rights or violate applicable laws. Use MenuSnap only where it is legally permitted.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Service's source code;
  • misuse recognition or translation results to mislead others or commit fraud; or
  • operate the Service in violation of any laws or regulatory requirements.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of U.S. courts.

Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the revised Terms in the application or on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
